We’ll try out both character animation and more abstract imagery using this technique. It's all about getting our hands dirty and diving into the nitty gritty icky sticky goopy gooey fun of animation. Renee will be leading the workshop remotely via Zoom.

 

Suggested Materials: 

  • Charcoal, pencils

  • Eraser

  • Painters tape

  • Some type of multimedia thick paper (smooth grain preferred)

 

Optional Materials:

  • Watercolors

  • Oil paint

  • Any medium you feel like playing with!

 

Equipment:

  • Dragonframe

  • Camera

  • Downshooter

  • Lights

 

Don't have those materials? Don't worry! Check out the alternatives below! You can also rent a downshooter set up from the Quickdraw Animation Society with a deposit of $50.
