GIRAF is a celebration of independent animation, a showcase of the best of what's being made here in Canada and around the world. Each year, we scour the globe for the most astounding, inventive, beautiful, mind-altering and unexpected animated films out there.

 

For our 19th festival, we’re delighted to return to the Globe Cinema and our home Studios to share 60+ short films, 2 workshops, 2 features, Special presentations as well as hangouts, Q and A's and other chances to engage with the wonderful medium of animation and the animation community here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

 

Join us November 16- 18 at the Globe Cinema; Nov 19th at the QAS Studios and from Nov. 20 - 26th as we will be offering select short film packages via an online Video-On-Demand service.  Welcome to GIRAF.
