In this hands-on workshop, participants will print inverted images—designed in Photoshop—onto special dissolvable paper. Using a light table, we’ll film the moment these images dissolve in water, revealing ghostly transformations beneath the surface.

Throughout the session, we’ll experiment with ways to get different distortions in the water. Finally, participants will bring their footage into Premiere, invert the images back to positive, and watch as their Photoslop illusions take shape—blending analog, liquid chaos with digital control.

Examples of the Photoslop technique can be found in the OIAF 2022 signal film here

The Photoslop Workshop is open to participants ages 14 and up, with a basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere recommended.
